This fantastic 1952 Talbot lago T26 Record Surprofilé is being fully restored and overhauled by Classic Job. This photo report started after the chassis had already been restored and rebuilt. The very original bodywork can be seen on the restored chassis. (Only some parts of the sheet metal and some parts of the wooden frame had to be renewed). The bodywork was smoothed, primed and painted in our own paint shop. The engine and gearbox were completely overhauled by Classic Job and mounted back in the chassis. The car is currently being built up. All chrome parts have been re-chromed to perfection, the front bumper is as smooth as a glass mirror. The organically shaped metal dashboard was (as original) finished with wood imitation paintwork. The detailing of the exterior is almost done, the headlights still have to be mounted and new wheels, wheel nuts, and tires have to be mounted. The interior is then reupholstered.
